DNS propagation checker
Enter a domain and a record type and we’ll look it up once from each of our ten probe regions, then show which answers match and which differ. You get a result link you can share. No account required.
How this check works
Each probe region asks its own nearby resolver for the record, with nothing cached from earlier lookups, and reports what came back. That is the same view the people and servers near that region get. When a record has just changed, resolvers that cached the old answer keep serving it until its TTL runs out, so some regions show the new value and some the old one. That gap is what people call propagation.
We read public answers only. We do not query your authoritative nameservers directly, and we never look up internal names.
Reading the result
Same everywhere means every region that answered got the same set of records. Answers differ lists each distinct answer and the regions that saw it: if the new value is winning, wait out the old record’s TTL and check again. A region that found no record says why, for example that the name does not exist or the resolver failed to answer.
Want to know when a record breaks or changes?
A RealUptime DNS check looks the record up on a schedule from four regions (US-East, US-West, Europe, and Asia-Pacific) on Free and alerts you when it stops resolving or no longer contains the value you expect, so a deleted record or a hijacked one is a page, not a surprise.
