Is my website down?

Enter a URL and we’ll check it right now: whether we could connect, the status code returned, and how long it took. One request, one honest answer, no account required.

How this check works

When you submit a URL, our server sends it a single web request and times the response. A clean result means the connection succeeded and the server returned a normal status code. It does not mean every part of the site works: we do not log in, load images or scripts, or exercise a real user flow, so a page can be broken in a way this check would not catch.

This is a single check from one location, run at the moment you click, not continuous monitoring. A site that checks clean here can still go down a minute later, and a site that checks down here can also be a temporary blip that recovers on its own. For an honest read on whether a well-known service is having a wider outage, see our outage tracker, which watches 40 popular services continuously from multiple regions and publishes their history.

Want to know the moment your site actually goes down?

This tool answers one question at one moment. If you need to know within seconds, every time, with your team alerted automatically, that is continuous monitoring, and it is a different product: realuptime checks your endpoints on a schedule from four live regions (US East, US West, Europe, and Asia Pacific) and alerts you the moment any one of them fails.
