RU-2010: Custom domains need a paid plan

Attaching a custom domain to a status page is a Growth and Scale feature, so the request was refused before anything was registered. Detaching a domain is never refused.

On the wire

Ships with HTTP status 403, carrying "code": "RU-2010" in the response body alongside the human-readable error message. Existing fields are never replaced by the code: it is additive.

Common causes

  • The account is on the Free plan.
  • Infrastructure-as-code or an agent attaching a domain to a page on an account that has not upgraded yet.

How to fix it

  1. Upgrade to Growth or Scale, then send the same request again.
  2. Or leave `customDomain` out of the request: the page keeps serving at its realuptime.io address.

Related codes

  • RU-2006: Status page allowance exhausted
  • RU-5015: Custom domain conflict

Still stuck?

Ask support and mention RU-2010: the code pins down the exact refusal path, so you skip the diagnostic back-and-forth.
