No lock-in
Your data leaves whenever you want it to.
Every RealUptime account has a real export button, not a support ticket you have to file to get your own data back. Open formats, no proprietary file, no waiting on us.
The promise
A monitoring or status page vendor gets more valuable to you the longer you use it, and that is exactly the moment a vendor with something to hide makes leaving expensive. RealUptime does the opposite: everything you have put in, your monitors, status pages, incident history, and subscriber lists, comes back out in JSON or CSV whenever you ask, from a button in your own account settings. No sales call, no support ticket, no delay.
What the export actually covers
Account settings has an “Export your data” button that downloads one JSON file with your account record, checks, status pages, incidents, subscribers, maintenance windows, and an uptime summary, everything the RealUptime Status and Monitor products hold for your account, in a single request.
Underneath that account-wide bundle, the same settings page links to focused exports for the data that does not fit one flat file: incident history as its own JSON or CSV, status page subscribers as CSV per page, RealUptime Errors issues per project in JSON or CSV, and RealUptime Monitor agent metrics per agent in JSON or CSV. Every link goes to the same account, gated by the same session as the dashboard itself, so it only ever returns data you are already signed in to see.
Open formats, on purpose
JSON and CSV are the two formats already, no proprietary export format you would need our software to read again. A JSON export round-trips into another JSON store or a script without translation, and a CSV opens in a spreadsheet or loads into a database with a plain import. Nothing is compressed into a format that only RealUptime can open.
Where this applies
RealUptime Status and RealUptime Monitor share the account-wide export above. RealUptime Errors adds its own per-project export for issues. RealUptime Outages is the free public “is it down” tracker: it does not hold an account or any data tied to you, so there is nothing account-specific to export there in the first place.
Try it yourself
If you already have a RealUptime account, the export button is on your account settings page right now, no need to take our word for it. If you do not yet, start free and check for yourself before you commit to anything.
