1. Add the URL you want checked
From the dashboard, choose Add monitor and paste the public URL. realuptime only probes public destinations: private and internal addresses are refused (error RU-3002); for hosts inside a private network, use the monitor agent instead.
2. Pick an interval and regions
Choose how often to check and which of the four probe regions (US-East, US-West, Europe, Asia-Pacific) should run it. Each region reports separately: that per-region truth is the point of the product.
3. Optionally add response assertions
On http checks you can assert on the response status range and body content, so a page that answers 200 with an error message still counts as down.
4. Watch the first results arrive
Within one interval each selected region posts its first reading. A region that has not reported yet shows as awaiting data, never silently green.
