Grade any status page
Paste a status page URL and we’ll fetch it right now and grade what it actually shows: whether it breaks status down by region, how far back its incident history goes, and how granularly it discloses incidents. Where RealUptime already tracks the vendor, we also show what our own probes have measured against what the page currently claims.
How this grade is computed
Every grade comes from a fixed, published rule run against the page we just fetched: counting distinct region names, looking for a stated history window, counting dated incident entries. There is no AI judgment call anywhere in this tool. When the page doesn’t give us enough to apply a rule, that dimension is marked “N/A” rather than scored low, because an honest “we couldn’t tell” is worth more than a made-up grade.
This reads only the initial HTML the page’s server sends back, the same limit our website down checker has. A status page that builds its content with JavaScript after loading may grade lower here than it deserves; we say so on the result when the page looks too thin to have been read properly.
Claimed vs. observed
RealUptime independently probes several hundred well-known services for our outage tracker. When the status page you grade belongs to one of them, we add a dimension comparing what the page currently claims against what our own probes have measured, stated as plain facts rather than an opinion about the vendor. When we don’t independently track a vendor, or haven’t polled its feed successfully yet, that dimension is left off the report entirely rather than guessed at.
Why we built this
Most status pages show one collapsed badge and a short list of recent incidents, which is a choice about what to disclose, not a technical limit. If your own status page graded lower than you’d like, that’s exactly what RealUptime Status is for: regional health as the default view, a real incident history, and honest reporting by design.
