RU-1005: Free plans get read-only MCP access

The MCP call reached a mutating tool (creating, updating, or deleting) from a Free-plan account. Free accounts can authenticate to the MCP server and use every read tool; writes are a paid feature.

Common causes

  • An agent or MCP client on a Free account tried a mutating tool.
  • The account was downgraded to Free while still holding a read-write key.

How to fix it

  1. Upgrade to Growth or Scale to unlock mutating MCP tools.
  2. Or keep the Free plan and use the read tools only.
